Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring four individuals. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various components. Within five years of operation, the business had stretched to forty workers and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is one of the top global producers within the material handling trade.

Design and production of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively engage in better business possibilities. Throughout the final sixty years, the trade of material handling has grown into a really sophisticated field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade currently continues to grow as the premier provider of forklift attachments and numerous associated products. The business feels confident in their capability so as to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding customer's needs in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.

In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, making and advertising hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was finished in the year 1956 on a new facility to house all of the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total staff reached a hundred and eighty workers and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next manufacturing facility was built. 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the global world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

In 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in the year 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services throughout the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are fabricated internationally due to many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is made to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to buying five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in blades.
