Size
On the rear of the forklift is a counterbalance, which enables the forklift to raise very heavy things. A small forklift that could lift 1800 kilograms weighs approximately 4000 kilograms, which is the same as two full-size pickup trucks. The largest forklifts can have up to 36,000 kilograms of lifting capacity.

Considerations
There are a lot of safety issues involved in using a forklift. When driving down a ramp, travel in reverse. If the load interferes with vision and is bulky, haul it in reverse.
